For the first time since 2019, we rallied together to raise hope and support the areas of need throughout our UF Health community.
Patient care, research, education and community service are central to our organization’s purpose. At UF Health, we provide our patients with high-quality health care experiences. Generosity strengthens these experiences and community-centered programs like ElderCare.
ElderCare supports seniors in Alachua County and north central Florida. Services help individuals enrich their quality of life and maximize their independence.
Ways fundraising supports ElderCare include:
- The Meals on Wheels program – More than 1,100 seniors in Alachua County are on a waitlist for food. ElderCare provides nutritious meals and the opportunity for UF Health care providers to check on seniors’ well-being.
- Senior Center programs – Seniors can enjoy a recreation center for no charge! These programs create a community featuring classes, clubs, games and exercise. Generosity fuels the senior center, including covering the cost of amenities.
