Dance Marathon at UF and FSU representatives hold awards given at the 2018 Miracle Network Dance Marathon Leadership Conference

Dance Marathon Advisors representing Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital celebrate their student leaders’ accomplishments along with 950 student and advisor attendees during the Miracle Network Dance Marathon Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, IN. From L to R: Lindsay Ritenbaugh (Dance Marathon at UF), Kristy Potter (Dance Marathon at FSU), and Niki Little (OwlThon at FAU).

Earlier this month, Dance Marathon at the University of Florida and Dance Marathon at Florida State University were honored with three awards at the Miracle Network Dance Marathon Leadership Conference. Only 20 awards are given out each year at the annual conference that brings together student leaders from across dozens of university campuses.

The Donor Stewardship Award is presented to the dance marathon organization that has demonstrated outstanding donor recognition, re-engagement, and communication practices, or who has made the largest strides in this area, over the past year.

This award is presented to the organization whose experience in overcoming a significant obstacle best exemplifies Ryan White’s spirit and perseverance in the face of adversity.

The Campaign Activation Award recognizes an outstanding campaign implemented by a dance marathon program that utilizes targeted efforts and provides unique content to increase awareness, participation, and engagement for a dance marathon program.

Our sincere congratulations to both programs and all students involved. Your passion is clear, and we are so grateful for all you do every day for the kids.
