Hope is powerful. This holiday season, we invite you to make a gift that gives hope to our patients and spreads joy to our hospital staff.
While time spent in the hospital during any season can be difficult, the holidays are especially tough.
Your generous support will make a world of difference in the lives of our patients and their families. From newborns to adults, each person we care for holds a unique story, and your donation can help turn those stories into tales of hope and recovery, just like Ella Grace.
GIVE HOPE. SPREAD JOY.
Your generosity and holiday cheer encourage patients like Ella Grace Ramondetta.
Ella Grace Ramondetta was nearly 3 years old when her family noticed she was walking with a limp, prompting a visit to an orthopaedic specialist. Their lives changed forever with the news that Ella Grace developed a tumor on her tibia. After three unsuccessful surgeries and years of traveling across the country for answers, Ella Grace was finally diagnosed with Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis (CRMO), an extremely rare bone disease. The Ramondetta family did not know where to turn, until they heard about UF Health Shands Children's Hospital's incredible pediatric rheumatologists. Now 9 years old, Ella Grace visits UF Health Shands Children's Hospital every three months for her inpatient infusion treatments, making this a home away from home for her and her family. Thanks to the work of health care professionals on our pediatric units, Ella Grace is hearing words like "improving" and "stable" for the first time in years.
