Dance Marathon wraps incredible $5M+ season

UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital is now the only institution in the country supported by THREE $1 million-plus student-run fundraising programs, as well as the nation’s fastest-growing with OwlThon at Florida Atlantic University.

Collectively, Dance Marathon volunteers helped raise $5,059,347.86 this year, $1.2 million more than last year! None of this would be possible without our entire team’s commitment to the students and developing all facets of our programs.

A routine prenatal ultrasound alerted Dawn Rogers that the son she was carrying would be born with a congenital heart defect. Shortly after Reilly’s birth, he was rushed to the heart catheterization lab at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital for a balloon apparatus procedure to open up a valve in his heart, so his organs could get adequate oxygen.
