Now through Sept. 29: Love’s Travel Stops campaign for CMN Hospitals

Love's Travel Stops Bella

Love’s Travel Stops are not just family owned food and fuel stops. Their employees hold fundraising campaigns year-round – including this year’s 20th annual fundraising campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Lisa Steele, a general manager at Store 415 in Fort Pierce, Fla., believes Love’s 20-year partnership with CMN Hospitals for has remained strong in the community because of their team’s commitment to the cause. The main goal of the Love’s campaign is to raise as much money for CMN Hospitals as possible within a five-week period. Her store is one of the dozens supporting CMN Hospitals at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.

“Every campaign stands out to me,” Steele said. “I think the most important thing is getting the community involved and bringing the awareness out there for the campaigns we do.”

Love’s works together across all 300 stores nationally to raise money and create “miracles for communities in need.” The local involvement with money being raised through Love’s campaign touches home to Steele.

“The money raised stays local and helps local kids,” Steele said. “It touches home with them and especially if they have known someone at UF Health Shands Children Hospital.”

The greatest achievement Steele has seen is the employee dedication in the campaigns over the past several years. Love’s motto is, “Clean Places, Friendly Faces,” and this is represented through the hearts and minds of the employees putting others first.

In one word, Steele described Love’s Travel Stops as family.

“We are a company who believes in the cause and who it helps,” Steele said “We treat each and every one of our employees as family and it keeps our company, community and family together to help the children.”

This year’s campaign is underway through Sept. 29. Stop by your local Love’s Travel Stop to make a donation supporting your local children’s hospital.
