Victor gets a special bed-side visit from three Gator basketball players

VictorVictor Wheeler, 19, suffers from recurring rhabdomyosarcoma on one of his kidneys. This is a cancerous tumor found most often in children. Victor has been at Shands Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida for nearly four years. He is currently receiving chemotherapy. Thanks to Caleb’s Pitch, a nonprofit based in Gainesville, and Shands, Victor received three special visitors on Jan. 26. Fresh from their double-overtime win over Georgia, Chandler Parsons, Vernon Macklin and Alex Tyus paid Victor a bed-side visit to try and lift his spirits. They also helped Victor make a pretty piece of Gator artwork, Caleb’s Pitch style. To see the entire photo album, click here.
