Raising Hope at Work

A Message from our Campaign Chair, Ed Jimenez

Every day, I have the privilege of watching our dedicated UF Health Shands employees take great pride in providing the very best care and service to our patients and their families. No one is more committed than you are to improving quality of life and making a difference.
Ed Jimenez and Lynette

Your dedication is the driving force of everything we do, and that’s why I’m asking you to participate in our Raising Hope at Work 2014 Employee Campaign. With your department’s participation, we can support the programs, services, equipment and advancements that have earned us our reputation among the nation’s most respected academic health centers.

This year’s employee campaign offers participants the choice to support one of two initiatives.

  • The construction of the new UF Health Congenital Heart Center will include 23 private ICU/IMC rooms- each with a bathroom and shower to accommodate families with extended stays, as well as the ability to house its own set of life-saving equipment. The center is scheduled to open in March 2014.

  • The purchase of a new, state-of-the-art aircraft for ShandsCair will increase the number of patients we serve and the type of medical emergencies we respond to. The new aircraft, expected to arrive in spring of 2014, will not only expand the geographical range for ShandsCair, but it also will increase the speed of our hospital transports.

I ask you to please join this campaign by pledging your support to make a truly lasting impact. This is your opportunity as a UF Health Shands employee to help make a difference for our patients, families, community members and colleagues.
