Shands Vista Behavioral Health
Shands Vista offers innovative, personalized care from our interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including University of Florida psychiatrists and psychologists. Since opening its doors in 1987, Shands Vista has become the major inpatient psychiatry and substance abuse treatment center in north central Florida.
Partners in Adolescent Lifestyle Support (PALS)
The PALS (Partners in Adolescent Lifestyle Support) program, overseen by professionals at Shands at Vista, provides peer support and therapeutic intervention to troubled students as well as enhancing leadership skills for teen leaders. This is achieved through peer counseling classes, therapeutic groups led by professionals and peers, and programs that provide an altruistic, tolerant, nonviolent atmosphere in the school where diversity is welcome.
Annual events are held in the community to raise money in support of PALS.

Florida Recovery Center
Shands Vista Florida Recovery Center provides treatment, advocacy, education and research to individuals and family members who seek recovery from addiction. With comprehensive treatment and assessment programs for alcohol and drug abuse or dependence, the Florida Recovery Center helps patients reclaim their lives.
