Get ready for Festival of Trees

We’re ushering in the holiday season with the third annual Festival of Trees!

This event, consisting of a weekend-long silent auction of decorated trees and wreaths, strives to bring the Gainesville community together to kick off the holiday season and support the health care needs of our local kids.

Community members and businesses have the opportunity to support this event by becoming an event sponsor, donating a decorated tree or wreath or attending the event to purchase a tree to take home. All proceeds benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.

What: Festival of Trees 2016

When: Dec. 1-3

Where: Tioga Town Center (just west of Gainesville)

Ambassador Highlight: Meet Parker

Ambassador Highlight: Meet Parker

Fourteen years ago, Parker Fox couldn’t leave his home much of the time. He had numerous ear infections and several cases of pneumonia that kept him indoors.

In April 2002, Parker was admitted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital because of a consistent high fever and another bout of pneumonia. After undergoing several blood tests, doctors found his red and white blood cell counts were dangerously low—forcing Parker to be rushed by ambulance to UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.

Featured Photos: Human vs. Zombies

CMN Ambassador Kids were called to stop a zombie invasion! Students involved with Extra Life transformed into zombies for the annual Humans vs. Zombies battle on UF’s campus. We don’t think the zombies stood a chance.
