Where dollars became miracles

Where dollars became miracles

After countless hours planning, weeks plotting and months fundraising over the last year, Dance Marathon at UF held its most successful event to date, raising more than $2.4 million for kids at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital and breaking its previous record! The true value of that money will impact countless lives for years to come.

Dance Marathon staff held an incredible event that not only gives many UF students their first taste of philanthropy, but offers face-to-face interaction with our Miracle Kids and their families. It’s an emotionally moving 26.2 hours, and we are proud that each year it becomes more impactful than the last.

Dance Marathon is more than a weekend at the O’Dome with friends. This annual event is a celebration of all the students’ efforts over the past year to raise money for the hospital.

Watch how Dance Marathon equals hope. (And keep some tissues handy!)

Ambassador Highlight: Meet Tori

As the week progressed, Kimberly noticed more red dots, similar to blood blisters, forming on Tori’s head. As a result, her doctor requested Tori’s blood work be done.
