More than 500 guests joined Shands Jacksonville for the fourth annual A Night for Heroes gala on Jan. 22. Guests enjoyed the vibrant Bollywood theme including music by DJ Pram. The event was held at the University of North Florida University Center.
The gala highlighted the story of Ashley Davis, who in 2009 was involved in life-threatening ATV accident. Nearly 60 emergency responders and care providers were honored at the event for their role in her rescue and recovery. Ashley will graduate this May from UNF with a degree in Elementary Education.
Proceeds benefit TraumaOne and will support the trauma housing program. This important program provides housing accommodations to the family members of trauma patients. The gala raised more than $70,000 in 2011.
